A compact rugged drive for work away from the desk
The ADATA HD700 Pro combines a plastic-and-silicone housing with IP54 protection and a manufacturer-stated 1.22 m drop-test rating. It connects over USB 3.2 Gen 1 for portable file storage and backup.
IP54 protection has an important condition
The HD700 Pro has an IP54 water-and-dust resistance rating. ADATA states that this protection applies only when the USB port cover is firmly closed. Do not interpret splash resistance as permission to submerge the drive.
Silicone protection for travel
ADATA specifies MIL-STD-810G 516.6 drop testing from up to 1.22 m. Keep the drive on a stable surface while in use and retain another copy of important files.
A place to back up console games
The official page describes use as backup storage for console games that are not currently being played. Console support varies, and reformatting may be needed. It is not a promise that every console game can run directly from this HDD.
