The SX Platinum combines 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency with a fully modular cable layout and a compact 140mm ATX depth. ATX 3.1 support, a 12V-2×6 GPU connection and switchable low-load fan-stop operation support a carefully planned modern PC build. Selected finish: Black.
Install the cables your system needs
The fully modular design allows unused PSU cables to stay out of the case. Main cables have braided sleeving, with combs on the 24-pin, CPU and 12V-2×6 GPU cables. Some accessory cables use flat ribbon sleeving rather than the braided finish.
Fan-stop mode is selectable
The rear switch enables or disables smart fan stop/start. Lian Li describes the fan stopping at loads of 40% or less when this mode is enabled. This is a fan operating mode, not a promise that every complete PC will be silent.
Check the graphics-card connection
The dual-colour 12V-2×6 plug provides a visual seating reference. Ensure the blue section is fully inserted, and check case-side cable clearance. The supplied modular cables belong to this exact PSU; modular PSU connector shapes alone do not establish interchangeability with another unit.
Short depth still needs cable space
The PSU body is 140mm long. Allow additional space for the attached modular plugs and cable routing, and check your case’s mounting layout. Choose rated output against the complete system and the graphics-card manufacturer’s guidance.

Can a 1000W unit continuously draw 1000W even when idle?
No. Its wattage is maximum rated DC output. Actual power use depends on the connected system and workload.
Can I reuse modular cables from my previous PSU?
Do not infer cable compatibility from physical fit. Use the cables supplied for this unit and consult Lian Li before substituting another cable set.
