Full HD at 200Hz, in a compact gaming format.

The MAG 255F E20 keeps a 1920 × 1080 image on a 24.5-inch Rapid IPS panel. It is a useful size if you want the screen within a compact field of view and prefer spending graphics performance on frame rate rather than a higher native resolution.

FHD: 1920 × 1080
200Hz: Maximum refresh ceiling
Rapid IPS: Display format

Two HDMI inputs leave room for another device

Both HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.2a support Full HD at up to 200Hz. Having two HDMI ports gives a second HDMI source a connection of its own; the maximum still depends on that device’s output.

FreeSync Premium and the response specification

AMD FreeSync Premium supports variable refresh with a compatible setup. The advertised 0.5ms GtG minimum is a best-case transition specification, not a promise that every pixel transition or complete input action takes half a millisecond.

MAG 255F E20 buying questions

What changes if I choose the MAG 255F X24?

The X24 is also a 24.5-inch Full HD Rapid IPS monitor, but its refresh ceiling is 240Hz instead of 200Hz. Consider whether your usual games deliver enough frames to use the extra headroom.

Does the 25-inch class mean a 25-inch viewable panel?

MSI specifies a 24.5-inch panel for this model. The exact viewable measurement is the useful figure when comparing screen sizes.
